Hello I’m Philip, thank you for visiting my website.
I’m a scrupulously detailed designer and visual artist.
Dedicated in every respect to....

My passion for my work is fueled by a tenacious inclination I have towards the research of various methods of design, the application of those methods, and the subjects that need to be represented in a project.

These are some of my major inspirations.

The foundation of my work is Jay Hambidge’s theory on Dynamic Symmetries, a proportioning system and design methodology Hambidge developed in the 1920s.

The system uses dynamic rectangles, including root rectangles based on ratios such as √2, √3, √5, the golden ratio, its square root, and its square.

Hambidge was a pupil at the Art Students' League in New York studying under William Merritt Chase, and was a thorough student of classical art.

A number of notable American and Canadian artists have used dynamic symmetry in their painting, including George Bellows, Maxfield Parrish, Helen Hokinson, Kathleen Munn, and Robert McCloskey.

The influence of Hambidge is evident throughout my body of work. Any of my comprehensive case studies will demonstrate the results of my dedication to pursuits in scholarship.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and my work. Feel free to contact me if you have further interest in these methods or are in need of my design services.
